Guardian Recovery Program
Learn more about the TNK9 Guardian Recovery Program and our steps to launch a 24/7 K9 Recovery Program for Thunder Bay's lost dogs.
The GRP Roadmap
The GRP is a unique local K9 recovery network designed to increase the amount of successful K9 returns and decrease the time that your dog is lost. When you enroll in the GRP you are enrolled in a 24/7 security response program for your dog. (24/7 Recovery in Development)
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The GRP is a direct response program to recover lost dogs. Rather than calling a 1-800 or 1-888 call center for info or bringing the dog to a vet for a scan... you call TNK9 for local support. When someone scans one of our tags, our systems will dispatch one of our teams to recover the dog. We have verification methods to prevent false dispatch and false reporting. For dogs who are not found, but have escaped, we are developing TNK9ScentTrace™ to deliver the best possible chance at locating your dog. There is not another place in Canada who offers this level of service. TNK9T is proud to be the first to bring this style of service to the city of Thunder Bay.
Phase 1: Infrastructure Development
To implement this program, TNK9T is developing a specialized licensing and registration program. This is where all the magic happens, when your dog is registered with us, we know how to get a hold of you and we know that you care about your dog and will not leave them.
Phase 2: License Cards and K9 Tags
Once our registry is working well and all of the digital infrastructure is in place, We will begin issuing tags to members who purchase them. Tag sets will be security foiled and have a unique license ID which will be linked to the digital registry.
Phase 3: Minimal Active GRP Implementation
As staffing allows, we will begin the implementation of the active recovery program. To be a part of the GRP, it will be a membership program priced to be affordable for owners. You may purchase tags and have them registered and NOT activate the recovery program. You will still be eligible for a recovery, however with fees associated.
Phase 4: Active Full Staffed GRP 24/7 Support
The last phase, an active 24/7 patrol and sentry network of TNK9 certified technicians who will be actively on call for recovery of lost K9s. We will also be implementing and Advanced Tracking Unit for recoveries that take more resources. We get a call, we recover, we arrange a return.
